Hi there!

I’m Danial, aka @mettletalk, and this is my personal blog where I share my life experiences with you. I’m a writer, a dreamer and I believe that everyone has a story to tell.

That’s why I started this blog: to share mine with you.

Why I Write?

Writing has always been my passion since I was a kid. I remember writing stories and poems in my notebooks, imagining different worlds and characters.

Writing was my escape from reality, my way of expressing myself, and my source of joy.

As I grew up, writing became more than just a hobby. It became my profession, my purpose, and my identity. I’ve written articles, scripts, and speeches for various clients and audiences.

I’ve also written for myself, to document my journey, to reflect on my learnings, and to inspire others.

Writing is not only what I do – it’s who I am.

What I Write About?

On this blog, you’ll find a variety of topics that I write about.
Some of them are:

Personal Growth: Life is a journey of growth and discovery. I’m always trying to learn new things, improve myself, and achieve my goals.

Creativity: I believe that everyone is creative in their own way. Creativity is not only about making art or writing stories; it’s about finding new ways to solve problems, express ideas, and have fun.

Communication: Communication is one of the most important skills in life. Communication is not only about speaking or writing; it’s about listening, understanding, persuading, and influencing.

Professional Development: Everyone has the potential to excel in their professional life. Professional development is not only about getting a degree or a promotion; it’s about learning new skills, expanding your network, finding your passion, and making an impact.

Stories of Triumph: I love to read stories of triumph over life’s challenges. Whether it’s professional or personal, big or small, we all face difficulties and obstacles in our lives. But we also overcome them and grow from them.

Work-Life Balance: Work-life balance and mental health are essential for our well-being and happiness. Work-life balance is not only about managing your time and tasks; it’s about finding harmony and meaning in your life.

Why Mettle Talk?

You might be wondering why I chose the name “Mettle Talk” for my blog.

Well, let me explain.

The word mettle means “vigor and strength of spirit or temperament.” It’s often used to describe resilience and tenacity in a person’s character or temperament. It comes from the word metal, which signifies ‘toughness.’

Over time, ‘mettle’ evolved in usage, coming to metaphorically represent the inner strength or essence of a person, much like the enduring and resilient qualities of metals.

The word talk means “to express ideas, opinions, etc., in words” or “to have a conversation or discussion.” It comes from the Old English word talu, which meant speech, tale, or account.

Mettle Talk is a blog where I write about my life experiences and how they have shaped MY mettle. It’s also a blog where I invite you to talk with me and with each other about your life experiences and how they have shaped YOUR mettle.

You see, it’s not just about finding yourself; it’s about creating dialogue and connection, making you feel like you’re part of something bigger. It’s a way to laugh at our obstacles, challenge our limits, and grow beyond our dreams.

I often tell people, “If you want to know life’s secrets, write them down, and if you want a good laugh, read them later.”

So, Mettle Talk is a blog where we write and talk about OUR mettle.

If you’re with me so far, then …

I appreciate your time and interest, and thank you (so much!) for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little bit better. And I hope you’ll stick around and join me on this journey of writing and living.

As Mark Twain said, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born, and the day you find out why.”

I’ve found out why I was born: to write and to share . And that’s what this blog is all about.

What about you? What’s your story? What’s your ‘why’?

Until next time,

FAQs

Here are some frequently asked questions (FAQs) that you might have about me or my blog:

I’ve been writing since I was ten years old. My first story was about a superhero cat who saved the world from evil mice.

Sadly, I’m still afraid of mice, and no superhero comes to save me.

That’s a tough question because there are so many books that I love.

But some of the ones that have influenced me the most are The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, and The War of Art by Steven Pressfield.

I get my inspiration from everywhere: from nature, from people, from music, from movies, from dreams, from conversations, from questions, from challenges, etc.

Inspiration is everywhere; you just have to pay attention and be curious.

It’s not easy, but it’s possible. I plan my work accordingly and schedule my writing time. I also try to write on the go, whenever I have some downtime or a burst of inspiration. Sometimes I write on my laptop, sometimes on my phone, sometimes on a notebook.

The important thing is to keep writing, no matter where I am or what I’m doing.

I love connecting with my readers and hearing their stories too. If you want to get in touch with me, you can:
